To understand elegant algorithms, the inverse must be considered.
An inelegant solution may contain (but is not limited to):
redundant functions
illegible variable names
bulky data structures
insecure use of libraries
Arguably most importantly, elegance is a feeling. It’s the sleek design, the perfectly maintained edges, the feeling of “wow, it just works”.
The nature of elegance is the obscurity of complexity.

I bought a license for Keyboard Maestro today. I use it to open my folders in Finder, and bookmarks in Chrome, as well as a fast way to context switch between Obsidian and VSC. It allows for scripting, so the sky is truly the limit!

A neuston (also called pleuston) is a creature that can live on (or directly under) the surface of water by adjusting its weight. A water strider is a pleuston that uses high surface tension and hydrophobic leg hair to sit on top of water.
